Barnsdall Art Park Foundation, in cooperation with East Hollywood and Greater Griffith Park Neighborhood Council and the Hollywood Arts Council invites you to attend a Barnsdall Park Community Stakeholders Meeting on Tuesday October 5th at 6:30pm in the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre.
Los Angeles faces an unprecedented financial crisis that deeply affects its Department of Cultural Affairs. In order to continue to offer arts programs at 15 facilities in our city, a Request for Proposals process is being created to partner with non-profit organizations.
Barnsdall Art Park’s arts centers, gallery and theatre are among the facilities for which an operational partner is being sought.
There will be brief comments by the hosting organizations and presentation of the facts of the current situation by the Olga Garay, General Manager, Department of Cultural Affairs, Marta Segura, Council President Eric Garcetti’s representative to the Working Group, and Councilmember Tom LaBonge, Chair of Arts, Parks, Heath and Aging Committee. A panel will select your written questions for response.
