Foundation Advocacy

The Los Angeles City Council has voted to issue RFPs (Request for Proposals) for the partnering out of a number of city-owned cultural centers, including the Municipal Art Gallery and the Art Centers at Barnsdall due to the city’s current budget crisis.

The Barnsdall Art Park Foundation is committed to advocating for a bright and secure future for Barnsdall Art Park and the preservation of Aline Barnsdall’s legacy.

On October 5th, 2010, the Barnsdall Art Park Foundation hosted a Barnsdall Park Stakeholders Meeting, in conjunction with the Greater Griffith Park Neighborhood Council, the East Hollywood Neighborhood Council and the Hollywood Arts Council, to “Find Out the Facts” and discuss the status of the RFP Process with various city officials and community groups.
